Jessica Lee Wilkes

With Blue Mother Tupelo

After five years of heavy touring with JD Wilkes & The Dirt Daubers, Jessica Lee Wilkes is taking her raw rock 'n roll edge to new heights with a solo project all her own. Hearkening back to classic 50s rock 'n roll and rhythm and blues, Jessica's sound injects timelessly catchy forms with the fire of a hell-bent femme fatale.

A hit at first listen, Jessica Wilkes's music has climbed the Top 20 radio charts and won over many a famous fan along the way, including rock legend Wanda Jackson, Jello Biafra of Dead Kennedys, and American Pickers favorite Danielle Colby, whose hip-shaking talents are featured in Jessica's "Get Outta My Way" video.

Since 2009, Jessica has blazed a trail along with husband JD Wilkes (of the Legendary Shack Shakers), touring with their 4-piece band The Dirt Daubers across the lower 48 and much of Western Europe. The group underwent a seismic shift in styles, transforming from an old-time acoustic group to a swampy rock-n-roll band with their 2013 release Wild Moon (Plowboy Records). The Dirt Daubers' latest hard-driving blues and rock 'n roll style gave way to Jessica's effortless transition to a front woman role, belting out soulful originals and thumping out heavy rhythms on upright bass.

While on the road, Jessica has been working behind the scenes writing new material and playing solo shows across the U.S. The tempestuous sound that has resulted is best summed up as:

Raw, Rhythm & Blues-tinged Rock & Roll from a bygone era yet to come.
