Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 15, 1908 on the campus of Howard University. The premier Black Greek Letter Organization was founded by 16 college trained women on the basic principle of providing service to all mankind. Since its chartering in 1939, members of the Beta Omega Omega Chapter have worked tirelessly in the Paducah and surrounding area and have never lost their commitment to service.  The chapter has sponsored dynamic programs, awarded numerous scholarships, and have consistently worked to improve the health, wealth, and well-bring of this community and its citizens.

For over 76 years, thousands of volunteer hours and thousands of dollars have been donated to benefit many in this community.  Benefactors have included the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club of Paducah, George Wilson Safety Foundation, Paducah Cooperative Ministries, McCracken County Community Career Endowment, Ladies Living Free, Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center, and Alzheimer’s Association. Signature chapter programs over the years have included The Little Miss AKA Pageant, AKA Cotillion, and our Winter Wonderland fundraising event for the Fredrickia Hargrove Scholarship Fund.

Beta Omega Omega is excited to continue implementing our new administration’s program targets under the theme, “Launching New Dimensions of Service,” designed to help us fulfill our mission and live up to our purpose by promoting service in the spirit of our founders.
